Introduction of New Members to the group

We would like to welcome 7 new members and guests to the meeting:

  • Gina Hibbert from Calpe, looking for admin work

  • Beatriz Ventosa Martinez from Alfaz del Pi, business – Nivola Spas (Jacuzzi / hot tubs / also commercial)

  • Faye Hughes from Javea, who makes cards and gift boxes, but is looking for something more challenging!

  • Yvonne Leguit, who runs a construction company with her husband, but is also promoting DeMarle cookware with Chris Miller. She is interested in anyone with connections in solar energy, as she would like to run her whole house on it.

  • Sandy Tsalikidis, from Javea.

  • Eva and Rita from Villajoyosa, if anyone has contact details for either of these ladies could you please forward them to me or Carolyn Slingsby, as they have volunteered for the fundraiser, but slipped through the “New Members” net!

Any Other Business

WIBC “pins”. Candy picked up a leaflet and pin from the Body Shop in Alicante which cost €1 and was against domestic violence. She suggested that we have a WIBC pin made for this cause which can be for sale in all our businesses and other outlets as a permanent fundraiser.  We all thought this was brilliant idea and she will look into where they can be made and for how much. If anyone has contacts in this business please contact Candy Wright kellykats_sl@hotmail.com.

Sponsored slim. Sara Hamer at El Cid leisure Oasis will be hosting a new Weightwatcher’s Club and suggests a good idea for a fundraiser would be a sponsored slim. Anyone interested please contact Sara.

Scrap books. Katilena is compiling a scrapbook of all the press cuttings re the WIBC.

Bobby also suggested that we keep a scrapbook of all press cuttings re domestic violence, especially in the Spanish press.
