International Women's Day 2006
STAGE CO-ORDINATOR'S REPORT

Congratulations to all those performers who were on stage for the 2nd WIBC International Women´s Day event. Everyone was very professional and the audience certainly enjoyed the diversity and entertainment value of all those involved.

A very big Thank You to you all for making my job easier. It was a pleasure working with you.

Special thanks goes to Candy who was ever helpful in keeping the stage running smoothly. Also to Desmond our faithful sound engineer.

I hope both performers and audience alike enjoyed the day as much as I did. Tiring but well worth it!!

It was wonderful that along with Karla Darocas, our special guests, Susanna Mefford and Beverley Stewart made the Opening Ceremony a success with heartfelt and wise words making it a touching and important part of the day. As with last year three candles were lit to signify the women who have died in Spain this year as a result of domestic violence,  for World Peace, and for the women of WIBC.

After the opening ceremony the stage buzzed all day with educational talks and demonstrations, singers, dancers and fashion shows and property auctions. The raffles were again a big hit and thanks to Elaine and her team who operated a very well co-ordinated system.

So thank you to all on and off stage. It was an incredible day.
