Top 10 WIBC Achievements
of the 2004-2005 Season

- as voted by members and guests at the 1st Anniversary Party.

1. International Women's Day - scored big. It was a very memorable event for a large amount of people.

2. Fundraising and Donations of Money - scored big. It is a very important and heartfelt part of the process.

3. Being taken Seriously. Many members felt that their first attempts at approaching the community was difficult as the perception of our club was not respected. However, that has all changed as the club keeps stepping up the challenge and coming through to the finish line - every time out!

4. Growth and Maintenance of the Club. Both members and guests were very impressed by the continued growth of the club - and the continued creative efforts put forward to manage the growth.

5. Building new Friendships & Business Relationships. Members felt that the club has given them extra confidence and courage to adapt to a new homeland, and also to launch a new enterprise.

6. Carol Singing on the Javea Beach. This was a favourite fundraiser event at Christmas time - which many folks hope to see repeated in the new coming season of the club.

7. Opening Night at the Casa del Culture with Special Guest Speaker - Georgina Cronin. A still talked about event by the earliest members of the club.

8. Christmas Concert & Toy Drive. This was a touching Christmas event that was widely appreciated and enjoyed by all.

9. International Mix. Many felt that the international mix of members was a sign that women don't get bogged down in racial concerns and get on with the business of helping women and children.

10. Out Reach. This is an evolving process that many saw as an important issue. Due to the fact that the club is growing in membership, there is a natural resolution to diversify the club to reach out to other communities to help them fight the war on domestic violence.
