WIBC
2nd Anniversary Party & Fundraiser A family affair with good food, games, dancing and prizes!
The Grand Cafe proved to be the perfect venue to host a WIBC fundraiser! The large event room and bar area also sported a stage and open terrace with a giant swimming pool. The setting was sensational! It was decorated with balloons and streamers, which gave the room a joyful flavour. The pool table was creatively converted into the Raffle Table as prizes continued to pour in from both WIBC members and visiting guests. Raffle ticket sellers were cruising and mingling throughout the crowd, charming the guests into buying each and every colour of ticket. It was wonderful to see so many young children and their parents at this fundraiser. Our celebrity guest DJ. Kelvin of Celebrations Disco - was a super Master of Ceremonies and handled the children with humour and compassion, as the early part of the evening was dedicated to them with dancing and games. Next came the food and it was fantastic! Hats off to Chippy, Juane and Udin - of the Grand Cafe - for putting together such as tasty spread of delights. It was a very nice surprise when Chippy awarded the WIBC organisational team a giant bouquet of flowers! After the buffet followed the infamous Chocolate Fountain, courtesy of Ann Martin, which offered a selection of fruits and marshmellows for dipping. There were chocolate smiles to be seen all over the room! The Raffle pulled all the folks off the patio into the main stage area waving their tickets. As always, the raffle brought down the house as winners jumped from their chairs and charged off to get their prizes. It is always fun to see what prizes are donated and who wins them. Next it was time for the DJ to pump-up the volume and as he ripped into the tune "Celebration", dancers of all shapes and sizes filled the dancefloor. There's
a party going on right here, In the end - A brilliant amount of 1533.00 euros was raised and will go a long way to helping victims of domestic violence and the protection shelters and their emergencies! Congratulations and Thank You's go out to the following names - as they pulled this event together and ran it with an even sail - Fantastic!
