FUNDRAISER AUCTION - REPORT

The WIBC Fundraiser Auction at El Cid Leisure Oasis - in Benidoleig was absolutely full of fun and thrills. It was so well organized by club members Sara Hamer and Candy Wright. 

Big round of applause go out to Sara and Candy, plus all of the club members who donated and participated in this event. [See List of Givers]

The full house was buzzing with excitement as the auctioneers primed and prodded the audience to reach into their pockets and give generously to our cause. 

Over 2,050. euros was raised at the auction. When we add this to the 1,010 raised by the Rock n' Roll Concert in Oliva (Read Report & Read Thank You Letter) - that will bring us to 3,060. euros. 

Susanna Mefford from Denia Town Hall was in attendance. She accepted a WIBC cheque for the Denia Women's Shelter, presented by Sara Hamer . Susanna Mefford is the council person in charge of finding the funding for the Shelter. (Read INTERVIEW to learn more about Susanna and the Denia Shelter)

FINAL NOTE: It was a day to remember how free we are as women. It was a day to remember how lucky we are as women, not to live in fear of our lives and the lives our children. It was a day to give to the well-being of other women who are not free. The victims of domestic violence come in all nationalities. If we don't support them - WHO WILL?
