It was a chilly night in Javea as we all gathered around the Casa de Cultura.

Children were running about, as if the cold was not important in their fun-filled lives. Not us ladies, we were rapped up in coats and scarves.

However, once inside the auditorium, warmth spread not only to our bones, but to our heart.

The tots and teens of the Theatre Express troop gave us a show that brought smiles and rounds of applause. The show was a mix of dance, song, jazz, rocking guitars, short story telling, choir vocals, ballet and plenty of adorable faces.

The prize draws were a big hit - as usual.

Not only was there a local English language newspaper at this event, snapping photos - but there was a German magazine as well. They actually did interviews with some of the members - in order to craft a large feature story.

Thank you again to all the ladies who helped out on this event - from raffles to the door and beyond.

Thank you to the Slushy team for providing the drink stand.

Another 700 Euros was raised to help aid and assist the Javea Women's Shelter.
