Annual Christmas Lunch Double click on photos to enlarge Report by Karla Darocas This year's Christmas Lunch was so wonderful and wild - at the same time. La Mesa opened their doors just for us - and we had the full service of the restaurant and bar. The food, wine and dessert was well prepared and well served by handsome waiters, who took our wild womanly remarks - all in good stride! Newspaper clippings about the WIBC's coming events were passed around the table, as women drank wine and nibbled on starters. Talk of the Toy Drive and the Christmas Concert and Carol Singing events filled the conversational air. Business cards, Christmas cards, brochures and booklets were also making their way around our luncheon table. It was networking business as usual. WIBC member - Sandy Tsalikidis - bought, wrapped and donated a brand new DVD player for the Calpe children's shelter. That was a nice surprise! Also our youngest WIBC member - Evie was in attendance. She has not missed a meeting or social event since she was born! (No one else in the club can brag about that!) It was very difficult to get all the ladies together for a group shot - but finally it was achieved. Our special guest was ex-Javea council woman - Ana Vasbinder - who has decided to finally join the club - now that she has more free time!
