NETWORKING SESSIONS

Networking Sessions are an important part of our business agenda.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

Sessions start with a hostess welcoming the club. Then each and every member makes a short presentation of their business, skills talents and so forth - in front of the entire group. We do this so that members can practice their presentation / public speaking skills.

Then - club announcements based on any current activities are discussed and reported.

Then - we try and leave some time for members to mingle with other members who they find interesting and can establish a relationship by exchanging business cards or arrange for a follow-up meeting.

SESSIONS are Always on Mondays - at 2pm.  See front page of website for dates and locations.

Fiestas do upset our agenda at times - however, you will be emailed in advance about these holidays.

AUGUST IS BREAK TIME - it is too hot and too many tourists!

Networking Sessions are casual - and you must pay for your own drinks and food.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

ROTATING CHAIRPERSON

Agenda and Responsibilities

Dear Chairperson,

Thank you for volunteering to be the chairperson for the next meeting of the WIBC Networking Sessions.

At the AGM it was agreed we would have a “rotating chairperson” for each meeting, giving everyone the opportunity to chair a meeting.

Volunteers will be asked for at the meetings, but it is intended that eventually everyone will have this opportunity.

Chairing a meeting is good for your personal and professional development and enables you to practice in a non threatening, supportive environment.

Firstly - don’t panic ladies – it's quite simple.

This is a guide as to your responsibilities and the agenda for the meeting is always the same.

Remember, you can always “joint-chair” if you’re too nervous!!!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.   Arrive at the meeting an hour early to ensure setting up of chairs and placement of Networking Table and Member’s Registration Table.

2.   Provide agendas for the meeting (approx 20).

3.   Provide an educational business talk or a business-type guest speaker with fliers if appropriate.

4.   Ensure that you have arranged for someone to take the minutes and type them up. (Lesley usually does this, but she is not always available at Javea – please check on 686 100 942 or admin@wibc-spain.com )

5.   Start meeting promptly at 2.00pm

6.   Ensure members and guests do not go over their allotted times and hold the meeting to order.

7.   Ensure that seating is re-arranged and leaflets are collected and the venue left as found.

8.   Thank the venue host or hostess for the usage.

AGENDA:

The following agenda is provided as a guide and has evolved to be the best order to ensure a balance of networking, education and WIBC business.

It is your responsibility to form an agenda and produce copies to hand out to members at the meeting.

A printable agenda is here for you to amend (don’t forget to add date and venue) and print. It is set up to print 2 copies on an A4 sheet, so remember to amend both copies!
