Subject: Funds Needed

I have received a request from Amparo Alemany, the social worker at the Women's Shelter in Javea.

Financial help has been requested for a 29 year old lady, who has been severely abused by her husband.

The husband was denounced on the 25th of June at the Guardia Civil quarters in Javea, and this denouncement went through justice the next day.

Since the husband has been sentenced, the 29 year old woman may remain in the house - to live along with her 5 year old daughter.
The rent of this house is 650 Euros a month, an amount that was not difficult to pay living on two incomes. However, the victim's income is 450 euros a month.

She will receive help and a search party for a cheaper property has started. However, as you all know, finding a cheap property this time of year in Javea and surroundings, is very difficult.  Therefore, we have been asked by Social Services and the Javea Women's Shelter to donate the amount from our funds, to help the victim with the rent for the month of July.

Any amount is welcome, but,  if we could do the full amount, that of course would be wonderful.

Please give your feedback a.s.a.p. Anyone who would like more information about this case, or information about the work of the Social Services or the work of the Javea Women's Shelter - can contact me at 670 553 100.
